Explore Tauranga City- Half Day

We pick you up from the Cruise Wharf where your experienced and friendly driver/guide will meet you with one of our Mercedes Benz vehicles. A full commentary will be provided.

Travel along New Zealand's famous Mount Maunganui beach through the fastest growing suburbs of Tauranga for a 40 minute drive to Kiwi Country.

Visit a working Kiwifruit orchard and discover why this area is known as the Kiwifruit capital of the World. Get up close and personal to the Kiwifruit growing on the vines and hear what makes this area's unique climatic conditions perfect for producing one of the Worlds healthiest fruits. Also some time is available for Kiwifruit tasting and souvenir shopping.

Then travel back through Tauranga City and see more reasons that make this area of the sunny Bay of Plenty such a popular area to live in. A stop at the Minden Lookout provides superb views of the Tauranga Harbour and the surrounding countryside.

Before returning to your ship over the harbour bridge you will see more of the Tauranga area including a guided tour of The Elms Mission House and Gardens.

This 4 hour tour still allows you plenty of time to return to your ship or explore around Mount Maunganui on your own visiting beaches and shops before sailing off to your next destination.
